About Trish

The calm in the chaos.
The truth in the noise.
The person leaders trust when they can’t afford to get it wrong.

I’m a governance-led risk and reputation adviser with more than four decades of experience working in high-scrutiny environments where decisions carry consequence.

Finance. Mortgages. Pensions. Policing. Professional services. Public oversight. Vulnerability. Media.

Different sectors. Same pattern: pressure building, oversight stretching, risk quietly accumulating — especially where accountability and technology intersect.

I’m brought in when clarity matters more than comfort.

Governance at Statutory Oversight Level

For eight years I served as a Member of the Lancashire Police Authority - the statutory body responsible at the time for oversight of the constabulary.

The role was governance, not operations.

  • Oversight of professional standards and complaints.
  • Scrutiny of senior leadership.
  • Accountability for recruitment, training and organisational capability.
  • Challenge without destabilisation.

I chaired both the Professional Standards and People portfolio, working closely with senior command and contributing to national Home Office programmes. The role required the highest level of Home Office security clearance due to the sensitivity of operational and political briefings.

That experience shaped how I think about governance:

  • Oversight must be independent.
  • Scrutiny must be informed.
  • Decisions must withstand political, public and regulatory examination.

Police Authorities have since moved to a Commissioner model, but the principle remains unchanged: governance exists to hold systems to account under scrutiny.

A Career Built on Real‑World Experience, Not Theory

My background isn’t linear — it’s layered.

  • Frontline mental health and addiction work.
  • Decades advising leadership teams in regulated environments.
  • Policing oversight.
  • Media engagement.
  • Founder of Repossession Rescue.

Across all of it, the thread is consistent:

  • I see patterns others miss.
  • I recognise when documentation won’t withstand challenge.
  • I understand how pressure distorts judgement.
  • I know how narratives form, and how they escalate.

This is governance grounded in reality.

Risk management informed by human behaviour. Oversight that understands both systems and consequences.

Governance in a Changing Landscape

Oversight today is more complex than ever.

AI-supported decisions, automated systems and data-driven processes are reshaping accountability in public and regulated environments.

The tools are new.
The scrutiny is not.

Whether examining leadership conduct, complaint handling or AI-enabled decision pathways, the core question remains:

Would this stand up to independent challenge?

That is the lens I bring.

Not technology evangelism.
Not corporate frameworks.
Experienced judgement applied to modern governance pressures.

What This Means When You Bring Me In

You get someone who:

  • Understands both the boardroom and the frontline

  • Has operated inside statutory oversight structures

  • Knows how regulators, complaints bodies and media assess decisions

  • Can surface blind spots without creating instability

  • Deals with root causes, not optics

  • Brings political awareness without political performance

I don’t do spin.
I don’t do theatre.
I don’t soften the truth when exposure is rising.

I bring stability, judgement and clarity when it matters most.
